About the Opportunity
Are you a legacy system defector that has seen the benefits of cloud based system deployment?
Netengine has a rare opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager (Cloud Based Custom Software Solutions) to join their team in the heart of South Brisbane.
Working closely with the Managing Director and the Solutions Architect, you'll be responsible for the acceleration of NetEngine's growth by prospecting for new business opportunities. More specifically, you'll be making contact and qualifying prospective clients and then arranging for the prospect to meet with the Managing Director and Solutions Architect for a paid Workshop.
Your target market will be mid-sized businesses with 250 - 400 employees and will working toward a total project spend of $200,000 and up.
More specifically, your key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Generating new leads and leveraging your existing network to increase revenue;
- Making contact with 10 prospects per day;
- Building and maintaining partnerships and sales channels;
- Following up on leads generated by the Sales Support team;
- Conducting ongoing account management and investigating upselling opportunities;
- Setting up meetings for the Managing Director and Solution Architect;
- Representing the NetEngine brand to build awareness and 'buzz'; and
- Delivering authentic presentations at user groups and industry events.
To be successful, you'll have extensive Software Sales experience. You'll be goal driven and ambitious with a persuasive communication style. NetEngine don't sell products, they build custom software solutions so it is essential that you are an excellent communicator with high levels of intelligence which will ensure that you are able to quickly identify a prospect's problem(s) and weave a compelling solution story.
Ideally, you will have an existing network of contacts from which you can extract new business or leads but this is not essential. Please note, an existing network is not essential to your success but will assist you. More important to your success will be your knowledge of agile development methods and cloud based solutions as well as your ability to secure meetings with key financial decision makers.

In return for your hard work and dedication, you'll enjoy a very attractive base salary of $80,000 (based upon your skills and experience) +uncapped commission which will net you an OTE of $150,000+
